How does it work?
After initial contact, the client sends one or more photos so that together we can decide which best represents the animal. Click here for advice on taking the perfect picture.
A non-refundable deposit of 50 per cent is required to start work. Click here for prices and sizes. You can see the evolution of the portrait and ask for small changes along the way. I can also add names and/or small texts on request.
Once you are satisfied with the result and have paid the remaining 50 per cent, the design is packed for transport, with instructions for handling and framing.
Copyright
I will retain the copyright on the portrait for the purposes of marketing, publicising and advertising my work. However, if I want to keep it secret until a specific date (a birthday, or if the portrait is a Christmas present, for example) I will keep the whole process secret until the client confirms that the recipient has already received the portrait without spoiling the surprise.

Shipping
The portrait is sent by courier protected by glassine paper and mounted on a hard backing to ensure that it arrives at its destination in the same condition as it was packaged. The drawing is sent unframed; if you wish to display the drawing, you should follow these recommendations for framing and conservation.
Gift voucher
If you want to give someone a portrait but don't have time to wait, or don't have a photo of the animal, you can always offer a gift voucher. Vouchers can be of any value and are valid for one year. Click here to buy a gift voucher.
