Inês Canavarro was born and raised in Coimbra, but has always had a close connection with nature and animals.

Her professional career has covered areas as diverse as Anthropology and Veterinary Medicine, including a PhD in Animal Behaviour, and she has lived in the UK and Dubai.

Art was always very present, but it was on his return to Portugal, more specifically to the cities of Coimbra and Viseu, that he masterfully combined what had always been his great passions - animals, drawing and painting - to create Canavarro Pet Portraits.

He now devotes a large part of his time to immortalising on paper the most vivid expressions of animals through the eyes of their guardians.
